CBET/ESL

The Community-based English Tutoring Program provides English as a Second Language to adults with special curriculum for parents and interested adults who promise to tutor an English learning school-aged child.  Childcare is provided at the school while parents attend class. 

Parenting Skills:

• The importance of parental involvement in a child's education
• Helping children to become effective readers
• Creating an environment conducive to monitoring a child's homework
• Understanding the school system and how to speak to a child's teacher
